Adolescent Psychiatry a peer-reviewed journal, aims to provide mental health
professionals who work with adolescents with current information relevant to the
diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders in adolescents.
The Organic Chemistry section of the journal Current Chinese Science publishes original research articles, letters, reviews/mini- reviews and guest edited thematic issues on various topics related to organic chemistry.
This section is not limited to a specific aspect of the field but is instead devoted to a wide range of sub fields in the area. Articles of a multidisciplinary nature are particularly welcome. Submissions in the following organic chemistry areas are of special interest to the readers of this journal:
• Analytical methods in organic chemistryDr. Ying-Ming Pan is a Professor at the Guangxi Normal University. He was born in 1972, in jiangxi, China. He received his BSc degree from Gannan Normal University and Msc degree from Guangxi University (China). He obtained his PhD degree at the Xianmen University in 2010. He was awarded Mingde Teacher Award in 2018. His present research interests focus on electrochemical synthesis and heterogeneous catalysis, Study on the modern organic synthesis methodology guided by bioactive molecules, Research and application of electrochemical organic reaction, Design, synthesis and application of porous organic polymers, Study and application of photochemical organic reaction. He has more than 190 publications.
Jiaxi Xu completed his Ph. D. in organic chemistry from Peking University in 1992. After a post-doctoral research at Beijing Medical University, he was appointed as an associate and full professor in Peking University during 1994-2007. He also worked as visiting scholar in Hong Kong and the United States. Currently, he is a professor in Beijing University of Chemical Technology. His research interests included synthetic methodologies, asymmetric synthesis and catalysis, synthesis of heterocyclic compounds, unnatural amino acids and peptides.
Dr. Shaozhen Nie obtained his PhD from Sun Yat-Sen University, Guangzhou, China in the discipline of Organic Chemistry in 2013. Currently, he is serving as a visiting scholar at UC Irvine Irvine, CA, USA. His research is focused on addressing challenges in synthetic organic chemistry by inventing novel transition metal catalyzed reactions and designing phosphine ligands that facilitate unique reactivity. He has participated in various conferences including American Chemical Society, March, 2019 and International conference on organic chemistry, November 2016. Dr. Nei has received several awards for his research contributions from Bayer China Hospital Development Fund Fellowship, China, 2011, Li Wen Fellowship, China, 2011, The Doctoral Scientific Research Foundation of Liaocheng University Fund, China, 2013, and Shan Dong Natural Fund, China, 2014.
Dr. Bihai Tong is a professor in the School of Metallurgy Engineering, Anhui University of Technology. He received his BS degree in Chemical Education from Xiangtan Normal University, MS degree in Organic Chemistry from Guangxi Normal University and PhD degree in materials physics and chemistry from Sun Yat-sen University, China. His research is currently focused on developing high performance organic electroluminescent materials.
Dr. Yingchun Wang is an Associate Professor in Jishou University. She received her B.S. degree in Chemistry from Guangxi Normal University, and a PhD degree in Organic Chemistry from Guangxi Normal University, China. Her research is currently focused on developing new methodologies for synthesis of nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds through Isocyanides-Based Multicomponent reactions and screening the toxicity and antitumor activity of Nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds.
Dr. Yuanyong Yang received his B.S. degree in 2007 from Sichuan University. In 2012, he received his Ph.D. from National University of Singapore under the supervision of Prof. Choon-Hong Tan. Subsequently, He spent another two years (2012-2014) at the National University of Singapore under the supervision of Professor Chua Kim Lee before starting his independent research as an associate professor at Guizhou Medical University and his research concerns the development of new synthetic methods and strategies and investigations toward understanding the mechanism.
Dr. Ran Jing-yu is a Chair Professor and Director at Institute of Energy and Environment, Chongqing University, China. Adjunct professor, Senior Research scholar, Energy Engineering, at Rice University, USA (2011.03-2011.09), Visiting scholar, Energy Engineering at The University of Queensland, Australia(2006.12-2007.12). Dr. Ran researches include investigation on Chemical Looping Combustion, the renewable energy transfer and utilization (biomass and wind energy, etal), micro-combustion, clean combustion and energy transferred & utilized for lower heat value fuel (such as Municipal Solid Waste, biomass, etc.), Coal and gas. Multiphase flow and improving operation efficiency and control pollutants emissions for advanced power generated systems, et al.
Dr. Magdalini Matziari joined the Chemistry department at Xi'an- Jiaotong Liverpool University in 2012 as a lecturer. After obtaining a PhD degree in 2001 from the National and Kapodistrian university of Athens, she worked there as a researcher and teaching assistant in the laboratory of organic chemistry. In 2006 she received the national award in Material Science of Unesco-L'Oréal, for "In Women in Science" concentrating excellence program. Magdalini works in several areas of synthetic organic chemistry with a strong emphasis on drug- design and medicinal chemistry. Currently the main research interests include the development of small molecular weight inhibitors towards HIV and Hepatitis C virus enzymes, drug delivery systems and studies on organocatalysis.
Dr. Yanli Xu is an Associate Professor in the Pharmacy School of Guilin Medical University. She received his B.S. degree in chemistry from Guangxi Normal University, and a PhD degree in organic chemistry from South China University of Technology, China. Her research is currently focused on developing new methodologies for synthesis of organoselenium compounds and screening the toxicity and antitumor activity of organoselenium compounds.
Dr. Deng obtained his Ph.D. (in 2005) in Analytical Chemistry from NanKai University, Tianjin, China. Following postdoctoral studies at Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Dalian, China, he moved to Tianjin University of Science and Technology (2007) to take up an associate professor position in analytical chemistry. In 2012, he was promoted to a full professor. His research interests now are nanostructured sensing and separation materials for detection of chemical hazard from food and environmental.
Prof. Nawaz Khan obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Madras (2003) under the guidance of Prof. C. Narayana Pillai, former Head of the Department of Chemistry, IIT, Madras. Dr. Khan served as a postdoctoral fellow (2003-2004) under the supervision of Prof. Yoshinori Yamamoto at Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan. He also served as research professor (2010, 2014) at Korea Institute of Basic Sciences, Busan, South Korea. Prof. Khan's research activity focuses on organic synthesis and methodologies employing environmentally benign homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts, and metal nanocatalysts. Dr. Khan's group also focusses on C-H activation and functionalization studies.
Dr. Guanyinsheng Qiu was born in Jiangxi (China) in 1984. He received his BS (2008) and MS (2011) from the Department of Chemistry at Jiangxi Normal University. In the year 2011, he moved to Fudan University, pursuing his Ph.D. under the guidance of Professor Jie Wu. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2014. During 2014–2018, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow in École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (supervisor: Prof. Jieping Zhu) and Fudan University (supervisor: Prof. Jie Wu). He now works at Jiaxing University as a full professor. He has published more than 90 articles in the international journals, such as Angew. Chem., Chem. Soc. Rev., Org. Lett., Chem. Commun., and Adv. Synth. Catal. etc. The papers have been cited for more than 2000 times. His current research interest mainly focuses on green synthetic methodological development by transitional metal catalysis and photocatalysis.
Dr. Qilin Wang was born in 1987 in Henan, People’s Republic of China. He obtained his bachelor degree in applied chemistry from Henan University in 2009. He received his Ph.D. degree in 2014 under the supervision of Prof. Xiaoying Xu and Prof. Weicheng Yuan of Chengdu Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He joined Henan University as a lecture in 2014 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2018. He was a visiting scholar at University of South Florida (USA) from Apr. 2018 to Apr. 2019 with Prof. Xiaodong Shi. His research interest includes asymmetric catalysis and synthesis, development of new synthons and cascade reactions, and synthesis of biologically interesting bridged- and spiro-heterocycles.
Professor Zhao-Yang Wang received his Master degree in Organic Chemistry from Beijing Normal University in 1995 and PhD in Material from South China University of Technology in 2004. Since 2005, he is a professor at the School of Chemistry, South China Normal University, China. His research interests include organic synthesis, functional material and green chemistry. Currently, he has published some scientific papers in well-reputed journals including Angew Chem Int Ed and has also served as a reviewer in some famous journals.
Dr. Fuhong Xiao was born in Jiangxi Province, China in 1986. He received his B. S. from East China University of Technology (2009), and Ph. D. from Xiangtan University under the supervision of Professor Guo-Jun Deng (2014, Jun). He then joined the Key Laboratory for Environmentally Friendly Chemistry and Application of the Ministry of Education, College of Chemistry, Xiangtan University. His current research in Xiangtan University is focused on the development of sustainable oxidative patterns and processes for catalytic organic synthesis.
Dr. Jin Cheng is a member of the China Democratic League. He graduated from the Southeast University. Research in the Jin group focuses on the development of new reaction methods for organic synthesis, materials science. Two of his undergoing projects include: 1) Research and Development of Novel Epoxy Vinyl Ester Resin. 2) Visible Light Photocatalysis. Dr. Cheng's research focuses on the transition-metal-free, visible-light induced cyclization of arylsulfonyl chlorides with o-azidoarylalkynes , acylation of indoles via photoredox catalysis: a route to 3-acetylindole, direct alkylheteroarylation of alkenes via photoredox mediated C–H functionalization etc.
Dr. Ananta Kumar Atta is an Assistant Professor (Grade I) of Chemistry at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Arunachal Pradesh, India. He received his Ph.D. degree in 2010 from the Indian Institute of Technology-Kharagpur (IIT-KGP) in the field of carbohydrate chemistry. He pursued his postdoctoral studies with Prof. Dong Gyu Cho at Inha University, Incheon, South Korea in the field of supramolecular chemistry from 2010 to 2013. He has been awarded DST-Young Scientist Award in 2015 and elected as a fellow of the Indian Chemical Society (FICS) in 2019. His current research interests mainly focus on sugar-modified chemosensors for the detection of heavy metal ions and nitroaromatics, synthesis of low- molecular-weight organogelators (LMWOs), and carbohydrate-based fluorometric carbon quantum dots for various applications.
Dr. Luzhi Liu is an Associate Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at the Guangxi University. Dr Liu earned his BS degree from Guangxi Normal University, his PhD degree from South China University of Technology. His research interests focus on the polymeric materials derived from the dynamic polymerization (covalent and non-covalent). His group works on supramolecular polymers, gels and self- healing materials that achieve unique behavior and capabilities.
