Adolescent Psychiatry a peer-reviewed journal, aims to provide mental health
professionals who work with adolescents with current information relevant to the
diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders in adolescents.
The Cybernetics section of the journal Current Chinese Science publishes original research articles, letters, case reports, reviews/mini-reviews and guest edited thematic issues on various topics related to cybernetics.
This section is not limited to a specific aspect of the field but is instead devoted to a wide range of sub fields in the area. Articles of a multidisciplinary nature are particularly welcome. Submissions in the following cybernetics areas are of special interest to the readers of this journal:
• Artificial intelligenceZhiwu Li is currently a Professor at the School of Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Xidian University, Xi’an, China. He obtained a PhD in Manufacturing Engineering from the School of Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Xidian University, Xi’an, China. He has published more than 100 articles in Automatica and IEEE Transactions and 24 patents in several US and Australian publications. His research interests focus on Supervisory Control of Discrete Event Systems, Scheduling and Control of Production Systems, Petri Net Theory and Applications, Production Process Optimization, and Granular Computing.

Dr. Ming Liu is an Assistant Research Fellow at the National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (known as CNCERT/CC), Beijing, China. He received his Ph.D. degree in 2018 from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in the field of Computer Software and Theory. His current research interests mainly focus on Multi-agent System, Cybernetics, Distributed Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Control and Decision for various applications. He also serves as reviewer member of 2 IEEE Transactions series journals.
Tarek Raïssi received the PhD. degree from the University of Paris XII in 2004 and the Accreditation to Supervise/Conduct Research from the University of Bordeaux in 2012. From 2005 to 2011, he was an Associate Professor at the University of Bordeaux. Currently, he is a Full Professor at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers, Paris, France. He is a member of the IFAC Technical Committee “Modelling, Identification and Signal Processing” and a Senior member of IEEE. His research interests include fault detection and isolation, nonlinear systems estimation and robust control. He has published more than 146 research articles.
Xiwang Guo received his B.S. degree in Computer Science and Technology from Shenyang Institute of Engineering, Shenyang, China, in 2006, M.S. degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics Manufacturing Engineering. from Shenyang Aerospace University, Shenyang, China, in 2009, Ph. D. degree in System Engineering from Northeastern University, Shenyang, China, in 2015. He is currently an associate professor in the College of Computer and Communication Engineering at Liaoning Petrochemical University. From 2016 to 2018, he was a visiting scholar in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark, NJ, USA. He has authored 100+ technical papers in journals and conference proceedings, including IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, IEEE Transactions on System, Man and Cybernetics: Systems, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, and IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica. His current research interests include Petri nets, remanufacturing, recycling and reuse of automotive, intelligent optimization algorithms.
Prof. Bimal Bose is currently Emeritus Chair Professor at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, USA. Prior to that, he was a Research Engineer of GE Global Research Center, Schenectady and Associate Professor of RPI, USA. He is seven times IEEE Awards winner and he is a member of US National Academy of Engineering.
Dr. Kamel Barkaoui is a full professor in the Department of Computer Science of Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (Paris). He received his PhD and HdR from Sorbonne Université in 1988 and 1998, respectively. His main research interests are in design, verification, control and performance evaluation of concurrent and real-time discrete-event systems. He is the author of more than 200 refereed publications and supervised 40 PhD theses. He received the Outstanding Paper Award at IEEE-SMC 1995 and has been receiving the Doctoral and Research Supervisor Award since 1998. Prof. K. Barkaoui has served as associate or guest editor of several international journals and is a member of the Tunisian Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts (Beit al Hikma).
Murat Uzam received B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Electrical Engineering Department, Yıldız Technical University, İstanbul, Turkey, in 1989 and 1991, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from University of Salford U.K., in 1998. He is a Professor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, at Yozgat Bozok University, Turkey. He has published more than 150 journals, magazines and conference papers and six books. His current research interests include design and implementation of discrete event control systems modeled by Petri nets and, in particular, deadlock prevention/liveness enforcing in flexible manufacturing systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), microcontrollers and design of microcontroller-based PLCs.
Mohamed Khalgui received M.S. degree in telecommunication and services from Henri Poincaré University, Nancy, France, in 2003, the Ph.D. degree in computer science from National Polytechnic Institute of Lorraine, Nancy, in 2007, and the Habilitation Diploma degree in information technology (computer science) from Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, Halle, Germany, in 2012. He was a researcher in computer science at the Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et Automatique INRIA, Rocquencourt, France, with ITIA-CNR institute, Vigevano, Italy, and with Systems Control Laboratory, Xidian University, Xi’an, China. He was a Professor at the National Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology, University of Carthage, Tunisia, and he is currently a Professor with Jinan University, Zhuhai, China. He has been involved in various international projects and collaborations with industrial partners. He received the Humboldt grant in Germany for preparing the Habilitation diploma at Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg. Prof. Khalgui is a member of different conferences and boards of journals.
GRIENGGRAI RAJCHAKIT received the B.S. (Mathematics), Thammasat University, Bangkok, Thailand, in 2003. He received the M.S. (Applied Mathematics), Chiangmai University, Chiangmai, Thailand, in 2005. He was awarded Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, Bangkok, Thailand, with specialized area of stability and control of neural networks. Currently, he is working as a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, Maejo University, Chiangmai, Thailand. He was the recipient of Thailand Frontier Author Award by Thomson Reuters Web of Science in the year 2016 and TRF-OHEC-Scopus Researcher Awards by The Thailand Research Fund (TRF), Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC) and Scopus in the year 2016. His research interests are complex-valued NNs, complex dynamical networks, control theory, stability analysis, sampled-data control, multi-agent systems, T-S fuzzy theory, and cryptography, etc. Dr. Grienggrai Rajchakit serves as a reviewer for various SCI journals. He has authored and co-authored more than 140 research articles in various SCI journals.
Dr. Igor Kotenko is a Chief Scientist at the St. Petersburg Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. He is also a Professor at the Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics University and the Bonch-Bruevich Saint Petersburg State University of Telecommunications. He is the author of more than 600 refereed publications, including 14 books and monographs. Dr. Kotenko's main research interests are in artificial intelligence, telecommunication, and cyber security. He was a project leader in the research projects from EU FP7 and FP6 Projects, HP, Intel, F-Secure, Huawei, etc.
JiLiang Luo received the B.E. and M.S. degrees in Thermal Power Engineering from Northeast Dianli University, Jilin, China, in 2000 and 2003, respectively, and Ph.D. degree in Control Science and Engineering from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 2006. He joined Huaqiao University, Xiamen, China in 2006, and is now a Professor of Control Science and Engineering. His research interests are in supervisory control of discrete event systems, Petri nets, programmable logic controllers (PLC), intelligent manufacturing systems and robots. He was a visiting researcher in Chiba University from 2009 to 2010, and in New Jersey Institute of Technology from 2014 to 2015. He is a recipient of the Ho-Pan-Qing-Qi Award of 2012 and Asian Journal of Controls Outstanding Reviewer of 2011.
Dr. Wen-long Li is a professor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China. His research interests include surface visual measuring and robotics machining. He has published 1 book and more than 50 papers, and authorized more than 30 invention patents. The published journals include IEEE T. Robotics/Cybernetic/Mechatronics/ ASE, PR and MST. He is awarded the Young Changjiang Scholars Program of the Ministry of Education, and the Outstanding Youth Fund of Hubei Province. His research achievements have been successfully applied to the precision inspection and robotic machining in aerospace, nuclear power and automobile.
Gaiyun Liu received the B.S. degree in Measurement and Control Technology and Instrumentation and the Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Xidian University, Xi'an, China, in 2006 and 2011, respectively. She also received a Ph.D. degree in Informatique from Conservatoire National des Arts et Metiers, Paris, France, in 2015. In 2011, she joined Xidian University, where she is currently an associate professor with the School of Electro-Mechanical Engineering. She has authored or coauthored over 30 publications. She is a senior member of IEEE. Her research interests include Petri net theory and applications, Security analysis and supervisory control of discrete event systems, and robust supervisory control of automated manufacturing systems.
Dr.Yung Ting is the Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering in Chung Yuan Christian University(CYCU), Taoyuan City, Taiwan. After receiving his B.S. degree in 1983 from CYCU, he worked with the CSIST until 1987. He then completed his M.S. degree from University of Virginia in 1989 and Ph.D. degree from University of Texas at Austin in 1993, both in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He has worked in the industry for almost two years. He joined CYCU in 1996 and since then has been working there as Associate professor. He also served as the Department Chairman from the year 2011 to 2015. Aside from mechatronics, controls and robotics research, he focuses on the development of piezoelectric sensors and actuators as well as their applications. He has published a few technical papers and held numerous patents and have won international invention awards for a variety of topics on linear and rotary piezoelectric motors, piezoelectric ceramics and polymer sensors, piezo-driven high-precision positioning platforms, ultrasonic assisted machining system, energy harvesting system, and medical ultrasonic therapy devices.
Prof.Dr. Chingiz Hajiyev graduated from the Faculty of Automatic Control Systems of Flying Apparatus, Moscow Aviation Institute (Moscow, Russia) with honors diploma in 1981. He received his PhD and DSc (Eng.) in Process Control in 1987 and 1993, respectively. Since 1996, he has been with the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey, where he is currently a Professor and from 2016 he is the head of the Aeronautical Engineering Department. He has more than 500 scientific publications including 14 books, 18 book chapters and about 300 international journal and international conference papers. His research interests include fault detection and isolation, sensor fusion, fault tolerant control system design, satellite attitude determination and control, Kalman filtering and integrated navigation systems.
Prof WANG Han has been in the School of EEE since 1992. He received his Bachelor degree in Computer Science from Northeast Heavy Machinery Institute(China), and Ph.D. degree from the University of Leeds(UK) respectively. His research interests include Computer Vision, and Robotics. He has done significant research work in his research areas and published over 120 top quality international conference and journal papers. He has been invited as a member of the Editorial Advisory Board, The Open Electrical & Electronic Engineering Journal. Dr. Wang is a senior member of IEEE.
Yu Zheng received the M.S. degree from National University of Defense Technology, Changsha, China, in 2006, and the Ph.D. degree from Central South University, Changsha, China, in 2012. Since 2008 until now,he has worked in the Central South University, China for more than ten years. Currently he is a Professor of mechanical engineering. The interests of his current research are optoelectronic devices packaging theory, technology and equipment; coupling theory, algorithms and techniques between optical fibers and optical waveguide chip; error transfer, control theory and technology of Opto-mechanics. He has published more than 60 papers and holds 30 patents.
Tiao-Jian Xu received his Ph.D. in the Dept. of Coastal and Offshore Engineering, Dalian University of Technology in 2014. Previously, he obtained a B.Sc in Dept. of Civil Engineering, Central South University in 2007. Currently, he is an Associate Professor of the Center for Deepwater Engineering, Dalian University of Technology, China. His research interests include Hydrodynamic Behavior of Offshore Fish Farm, Pneumatic Breakwater, Wave Dynamics, Environmental Fluid Mechanics, and Computational Fluid Dynamics of Photo-bioreactors. Dr. Xu has published 3 book chapters, 5 conference papers, and 21 articles in international journals.
Lei Wang received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Chongqing University, China in 2011. He is currently an associate professor with the School of Automation, Chongqing university, Chongqing, China. He served as the Guest Editor of “Mathematics problem in Engineering” and “Energies". He was an outstanding reviewer of applied energy and reviewer of IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, Journal of Cleaner Production, International Journal of Electrical Power and Energy Systems, Abstract and Applied Analysis, Advance in Vibration Engineering, Optimal Control Applications and Methods and Structural Health Monitoring, etc. His research includes floating wind turbine system, Energy management and optimization, System modeling, Fault diagnosis and fault tolerant control.
Xiaoguang Han received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in mathematics from Harbin Normal University, China, and Harbin Engineering University, China, in 2007 and 2009, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in control science and engineering in 2017 from Nankai University, Tianjin, China. In 2017, he joined the Tianjin University of Science and Technology, China, where he is an Associate Professor in the College of Electronic Information and Automation. His research interests include discrete-event systems, Boolean control networks, cyber-security and privacy, formal methods, etc. He has published over 30 journal and conference papers.
Dr. Mohamed Najeh Lakhoua born in 1971 in Tunis (Tunisia), he received the BSc degree in Electrical Engineering from the High School of Sciences and Techniques of Tunis, the DEA degree in Automatic and Production engineering from the same school and the PhD degree in Industrial Engineering from the National School of Engineers of Tunis, respectively in 1996, 1999 and 2008. He is currently an Associate Professor at the National School of Engineering of Carthage (ENICarthage) and member of the Research Laboratory Smart Electricity & ICT, SEICT, LR18ES44 of ENICarthage. He received the HDR degree in Electrical Engineering from ENICarthage in 2015. He is a Senior Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Dr Lakhoua has published many scholarly research papers in many journals and international conferences. His research interests are focused on system analysis and modeling; automatic control; supervisory system, information system development.
Zhenhua Yu received the B.S. degree and M.S. degree from Xidian University, Xi’an, China, in 1999 and 2003, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, China, in 2006. He was a visiting scholar at the New Jersey Institute of Technology during 2015 to 2016. He is currently a Professor in the College of Computer Science and Technology, Xi’an University of Science and Technology, Xi’an, China. His research mainly focuses on cyber-physical systems, artificial intelligence system security, Petri nets, and nonlinear dynamics. He has authored more than 50 technical papers for journals and conferences, and holds four invention patents.
Dr. Jiang Liu received his B.S. and Ph.D. degree in Intelligent Transportation Engineering from Beijing Jiaotong University in 2007 and 2011, respectively. He was a post-doctor at School of Transportation Science and Engineering in Beihang University from 2011 to 2013. He was a visiting scholar in School of Civil and Environmental Engineering in University of New South Wales from 2017 to 2018. Currently, he is a Professor at School of Electronic and Information Engineering, Beijing Jiaotong University. His research interests include satellite positioning and navigation, intelligent transportation, railway operation control, information fusion, intelligence optimization, fault diagnosis, and geographic information system. He has published more than 50 journal and international conference papers.
Dr. Gaoge Hu received the B.S. degree in mathematics and applied mathematics from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi’an, China, in 2010, and the Ph.D. degree in control theory and control engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2016. From 2016 to 2017, he worked as a system engineer with the Huawei Technologies Co Ltd. At present, he is an Associate Professor with the School of Automation, Northwestern Polytechnical University. His current research interests include Kalman filtering theory, multi-sensors data fusion, nonlinear state estimation, target tracking and integrated navigation (including inertial navigation, satellite navigation, celestial navigation et al.) . Since the start of the research career, Dr. Hu have generated over 50 publications in prestigious international journals and conferences.
