Abstract

In this chapter, different types of piles are classified, with the method of construction and design. The analysis and design of piles include vertical and lateral load analysis for single piles and pile groups. A detailed discussion of the various field pile tests and the methods for interpretation are included to assist the readers in the field control of pile installation.
