Abstract

Preyssler acid, H14[NaP5W30O110], was used in the presence of marine algae Chaetomorpha linum as a green co-reducing agent in the bio-synthesis of gold nanoparticles at ambient temperature. The prepared nanoparticles were characterized by UV-Vis spectroscopy, particle size distribution, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The effect of various factors such as the concentration of extract as well as gold complex concentration, and time of the reaction, on the size of gold nanoparticles was investigated. All solutions including nanoparticles were enough stable, being efficiently used at least for couple of months.
