Abstract

In this paper an efficient method for human-computer interaction is presented. This method combines both face gestures and head rotation information to emulate mouse device and control the machine in contactless way. The user-defined face gestures are used to emulate the mouse buttons while the head rotation is used to update mouse position on the screen. The robustness of the proposed system was evaluated during the set of tests concerning 3D games and other applications facilitated with graphical user interfaces. The advantages of proposed solutions are also compared with patent [1], which concerns similar research area.
