Abstract

Synthetic phosphate Na2CaP2O7 has been utilized as an efficient catalyst for the three components coupling of carbonyl compounds, aromatic and aliphatic amines and dialkyl phosphite to produce α-amino phosphonates. The reaction was carried out under solvent-free conditions at room temperature. The by-product H2O formed during the reaction increases the catalytic activity of Na2CaP2O7.
