Application of Lubrication Methods for Rolling Bearings

Abstract

The rolling bearing is an important component in mechanical equipment. During operation, good lubrication measures are required to ensure that the lubricant is sufficient and not easily lost or deteriorated. The lubrication methods adopted for rolling bearings and machinery under different working conditions are different. They need to be determined according to multiple factors such as speed, load, temperature, and environment. In recent years, theoretical and experimental research on the lubrication of rolling bearings and structural innovative design has been carried out in many application fields, and many new types of rolling bearing lubrication methods have emerged, which have improved the lubrication effect of the rolling bearings.

This paper introduces the current research status of rolling bearing lubrication and aims to analyze the patents of lubrication devices for rolling bearings in major application areas. It also seeks to summarize the lubrication methods and characteristics of rolling bearings in different application fields. The existing problems at present are raised, the current situation of the lubrication of rolling bearings is analyzed, and the possible development directions in the future are put forward to offer references for engineering technicians.

This patent paper classified the primary application fields of rolling bearings and analyzed the associated patents of bearing lubrication devices across various applications, predominantly encompassing the aerospace, vehicle, machine tool, and mining sectors where rolling bearings are extensively utilized. Furthermore, the current research status of rolling bearing lubrication methods and lubrication devices within these fields are analyzed and summarized.

By analyzing the lubrication methods and device structures of rolling bearings in different applications, the advantages and disadvantages of various lubrication methods and devices under different working conditions are summarized. The most suitable lubrication methods for different application fields have been proposed. The possible development directions of future lubrication methods for rolling bearings are proposed.

Reasonable lubrication methods can effectively assist the operation of rolling bearings. In recent years, the emergence of new lubrication methods in various fields has addressed many lubrication challenges. In future research, it is essential to delve deeper into the lubrication methods across various application domains to enhance bearing lubrication efficiency, intelligence, and environmental friendliness.
